The Kobayashi & Kosasa Family Dining Room at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children took home a Merit Award at the 2022 AIA Honolulu Design Awards Gala held a the The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Ho‘okupu Center. The AIA Honolulu’s Annual Design Awards is Hawaii’s longest running program of its type—held annually since 1958. Built and unbuilt projects submitted by local AIA members are judged on their merit by a distinguished jury of AIA architects. 

Peter presented a 12x12 design PechaKucha style presentation outlining the design intent and how the project epitomizes design for health and well-being. Wellness is one of the AIA Framework Design Excellence categories along with Integration, Community, Ecology, Water, Economy, Energy, Resources, Change, and Discovery.
