A Donation To A Worthy Cause

December 2019

PVA has made a donation on behalf of our valued clients, consultants, partners and vendors this holiday season to the Hawaii Pacific Health Foundations – Kapi’olani Health Foundation.

A donation has been made on behalf of our valued clients, consultants, partners and vendors this holiday season to the Hawaii Pacific Health Foundations – Kapi’olani Health Foundation. This organization supports the vital care being given at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children.

As a not-for-profit medical center, Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children relies on the community to fulfill its mission of creating a healthier Hawaii. Generous donors play a vital role in helping Hawaii's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty medical center provide exceptional medical care to women, children and families.

Their specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric care, critical care air transport and maternal fetal medicine.

Peter Vincent Architects recently completed the new Kobayashi & Kosasa Family Dining Room at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children. Located on the second floor, the new space features a 9,000SF kitchen and 14,000SF dining room, three new conference rooms, 1,800SF outdoor lanai, and an interactive Keiki Zone play area.

The design elements of the space reflect the sustainability of the Hawaiian land division concept of an ahupuaa, the wedge-shaped land sections that run from the mountains to the sea. The design features the three main elements of the ahupuaa – mauka (mountain), kula (plains) and makai (sea) – in the selection of natural materials, which transition from one zone to the next, yet harmonize in a sophisticated, yet playful manner.
