Meet Intern Meghan Huang

June 2026

Meet architectural summer intern Meghan Huang. Meghan is going into her 5th year of the BArch Program at Tulane University School of Architecture and Built Environment.

Why did you choose architecture?

I have always loved drawing and sketching growing up, in high school I was exposed to my first architecture class. I found myself spending all my free time in the studio home in on my models and drawings, and I genuinely enjoyed doing it. Also like every other person in architecture I love Legos.

What are you most excited to learn this summer?

I am most excited to learn about how the design flows from exterior to interior especially since many of the projects are working with beautiful views. In addition, observing the relationship between architects and clients. Seeing how design ideas evolve through feedback and discussion and learning how to effectively manage client expectations while balancing design goals, practical constraint, and project requirement. Anything in Design the design process!

What project type interests you most?

Hospitality and Residential, Residential because I grew up in international school so from a young age, I was exposed to many different cultures and what they define as home. Hospitality because my mom has always put emphasis on the architecture of places we stay at when traveling. We have also traveled to places before for the hotels because the architecture was interesting.

Why did you decide to intern with PVA?

I really love the work PVA was doing. Through the hiring and interviewing process PVA made me feel like I can truly be involved in projects and learn a lot through the experience. In addition, going to Tulane in New Orleans, I have learned and researched a lot on flood management and prevention, PVA offers me the unique opportunity to see how the process works in real life.
