Koko Kai Cliffside Renovation engages the senses with visual connections and design connections to the natural environment beyond creating a modern, calming residential refuge. The residence was reimagined into an energy-efficient and visually more appealing space. The team worked harmoniously to create a project that respects the environment where it had originally been placed with the decision to keep the original structure and improve upon it. Materials, air quality, temperature reduction, and overall energy efficiency were all considered to create an improved space. The design team worked collaboratively and holistically from the contractor and landscape to interior design and art procurement, to meet the client's needs and respect the environment.
