The dramatic connection to the ocean is obvious from the moment you enter the property. The axial organization starts from the front vehicular gate and extends through the entry pavilion and main living space extending over an infinity-edge pool to the majestic waves on Laniakea Beach.  This deliberate alignment from mauka to makai reinforces the deep connection to the natural surroundings.

Based on the home’s proximity to the ocean and to plan for possible flooding and sea level rise, the house is raised above the regulated flood elevation.This inevitably creates a separation of the main house and the surrounding property.The ultimate goal is to provide a seamless connection from the interior to the exterior, therefore a raised deck extends from the makai side of the house and provides direct access the pool which is at the same raised level as the main floor.The gentle steps up from the motor court on the mauka side of the house provides a subtle transition to the main level which is over 30” above the grade.
